Day Vs Night. When is the best time to get a massage?

Short and Sweet, let’s breakdown Day vs Night Massages and which one might be best for you.

Maybe you like your Remedial Massage at noon exactly on the dot or a Relaxation massage just before closing! The choice is yours but certainly have a look at some pros & cons of both. It isn’t always easy to pick what’s best for you but the rule of thumb here I would say is, if you want a deeper sleep or have trouble falling asleep, grab yourself an evening massage that same day. If you want to unwind before stressful situations and be more chilled and upbeat for the rest of the day, grab a daytime massage. We open late and relatively early at CloudForm Massage so feel free to pick whichever you prefer!

Day Massages

Pro:

  • Can be re-invigorated for the rest of the day

  • Might get a great day time nap in

  • Less stress going about your life

  • Less Anxiety toward uncomfortable situations

  • Breaks up the day, you can enjoy a massage around lunchtime or in the morning

Con:

  • Might make you sleepy

  • Can be harder to unwind while you have responsibilities awaiting you afterwards

  • Jarring for some people to relax deeply and then go right back to their life

Night Massages

Pro:

  • Will help you have a much deeper sleep

  • Will be far easier to relax

  • Much more comfortable and quiet

  • Lets you de-compress and prepare to wind down

  • Makes it so that the next morning is easier & peaceful

Con:

  • Some people fall asleep during their massage and don’t like to ‘miss out’

  • You can feel really tired on the drive home

  • Difficult to adjust if you have things to do at home afterwards

So if you’re someone who likes the sound of a day massage, definitely give a night one a go sometime, but stick with what you know will be good for you. Similarly, I hope all you night time massage lovers give the power of a daytime massage a go. It’s certainly worth it.
