TMJ, Jaw Pain, Headaches.

Nobody likes a headache.
Nobody likes a headache that turns into a migraine
Nobody likes said headachegraines that radiate over your entire head, down into your mouth, behind your ears & then continue to feel like someone is standing on your shoulders and skull at the same time.

But why? Why is it so?

Well, let’s start with a small intro to anatomy of the head & neck.

You have connective tissue spread throughout the entire body but in particular around the front of the neck or the anterior side if you have tightness in your chest/pecs & shoulders then you’ll feel like the front of your neck is somewhat restricted and like you can’t really look up fully.

Then if we slight to the side a little you have a few different neck muscles that start to wrap around to the back and basically just all up in the sides to give you much needed stability. At the back you have even more muscles and they themselves start to connect into the upper back and rear shoulder areas.

So 3 Distinct areas to look at, The chest, The Side of the neck & the back of the neck.

Most people who develop what’s known as a tension headache have primarily tension around the backside of the neck compressing their occipital muscles a little too much. This often goes hand in hand with postural tension that’s around the front down toward the chest & shoulders. (Think, 8 Hour desk work crunching)When this tension is left alone it often turns into a migraine or jaw pain. Or both, if you’re delightfully lucky.

Most people have never had any kind of jaw work done because A. it’s never really looked at & B. it involves fingers in the mouth. (GLOVED, incase that was up for debate) There are external & internal jaw muscles and they all need to be worked on for the most relief once you get to that point!
Sometimes you get a nasty combination of Jaw pain, headaches & neck pain and sometimes you really do need all 3 neck & head zones worked on to relieve it.

You can try to treat things yourself but realistically, you just won’t be able to hit the spot.

That’s where trained professionals come in where we do it for you.

Do not accept living with headaches, migraines, tension headaches, grinding your teeth all night etc etc.
