How much insurance cover will I get on a Remedial Massage?

Did you know Remedial Massage is actually covered under many Insurance Policies? How much do you get back you might ask…and let me tell you, it sure does vary!

Some insurance companies pay a flat rebate per session regardless of length, cost or number of sessions you’ve had…and other will pay a percentage of the total fee.
It’s hard to pick out which policy and which company is best for you as it wholly depends on what your goals are and if you plan on using Remedial Massage regularly or just in very specific circumstances.

Typically I suggest to clients that if they plan on making Remedial Massage a staple in their self-care & wellness journeys then it serves them best to get coverage that has a decent annual limit of claims & around a 50% Coverage. That way your out of pocket gap expense is more manageable and less of a dent per session! Usually when you start to scale up with insurance policies you are often required to get many other accessory services that you may not plan on using, so you end up paying for extra when you may just be better off with a lower cost policy with less of a cost commitment.

The lowest amount I ever see rebated is $20 for people who do already have insurance coverage and about 80% ( Around $80 for a Remedial Session) for some of the more expensive insurance plans.

In particular I have seen entire treatments covered by GapSaver Plans that HBF offer but that’s based on a system where clients build ‘Credit’ while not claiming any kind of insurance service.

Your best bet is to shop around! Don’t be afraid to do your research online through various comparison websites such as Canstar for example. If you have an insurance policy already but just don’t have Remedial Massage cover, it may be that you just need to swap out an ancillary or extras service for Remedial Massage instead which you can usually do over the phone with your provider.

Definitely take advantage of CloudForm Promotions & Specials to get as many discounts as possible on your next Massage!
